How can I attach a volume control to my electric cello?

I'm making an electric cello, and my dad bought me a fishman c-100 cello pickup for it. I want to, however, attach various control knobs to it, but I have NO idea how >.< can anyone tell me? It's prolly just the same as on a guitar :/
