Brother won't ride roller coaster?

Me my mom aunt and brother are going to busch gardens and sea world but last year my bro didn't ride and it made my mom mad cause we all wanted to but earlier this year I showed him on ride video you know of people riding and he was all excited to ride but I showed him last year and he said i'm not riding any I don't want to the when I asked him about early he said I never said I wanted to ride so now i'm concerned that we won't have fun are there any ways to make him want to ride again
