Cisco VPN Not connected HELP Please!!!?

I Have installed cisco vpn release 4.6 and i have put my profile in the vpn client, i have it highlited and when i click connect it takes a few seconds and then says Not connected, also when i go onto remote desktop connection and type the ip of the computer i want to connect to it takes a few seconds and then says cannot connect to the computer, But when i ping the IP It says sent 4 recieved 4 loss 0% I need help desperately and i am running windows vista home premium
