FN FAL L1A1 What's it worth?

I got a buddy that has a nice FN FAL or L1A1 he is selling. He was asking $900, but told me about $750. It has a pistol grip, fixed stock, L1A1 (inch) lower and imbel metric upper. It was during the ban so doesn't have a bayonet lug or flash hider. What do you think? Is that a good price for a reliable L1A1/FN?
